Who we are
The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is a professional association representing 25,000 physicians and medical students in Massachusetts. A leadership voice in health care, the Massachusetts Medical Society is dedicated to educating and advocating for physicians and for the public at the state and national levels, including on public health issues.
On climate change
The MMS has long recognized the link between environmental health and human health, and the importance of scientific research in informing policies that protect human health from environmental toxins.

Massachusetts Medical Society policy recognizes that climate change is affecting the environment and human health and that human activities are contributing to climate change. It also recognizes that the impact affects disadvantaged people and communities in Massachusetts and around the world.
